When I was a young boy, I saw my grandfather stop and bend over and pick up pennies (or other coins) he found on the ground. He would look at them, close his eyes, make a wish and then slide them into his shoe. When I asked him what he was doing and he told me about "making a wish". I asked him if his wishes ever came true. He smiled and said, "Yes, they come true ... I got you, didn't I. You were one of my wishes." I never forgot that moment and it inspired this song. This collection as a solo cut and band cut.
